It’s been a long time since I’ve heard something as breathtaking as Peter Walker’s lost 1970 studio recording Has Anybody Seen Our Freedoms? There are plenty of technically proficient fingerstyle guitarists out there, but Peter has something incredibly rare. His playing is a manifestation of his very being.

Just go listen to the songs and you’ll see what I’m getting at.

Peter Walker will be performing on Wednesday, February 12th at the west side space Nashville Friends Meeting. My first encounter with the venue was last Friday’s Mind Over Mirrors show. The main room is a large auditorium with hardwood floors and a church-style vaulted ceiling. I could easily see it becoming one of my favorite places to see live acoustic music.

DO NOT miss this show. Opportunities like this don’t come around very often.

Nashville Friends Meeting is an alcohol-free space. For those who use Facebook, you can find out more on the event page. Thanks to Chris Davis for organizing another amazing show.
